Looking at this photo of our client Nancy Danielle Hannon and her family, there is so much that you won’t see. Living with polycystic kidney disease or PKD, Nancy is down to 6% kidney function. For ten hours each day for the past three years, she has received dialysis to stay alive. Doctors tell her that her kidneys are the size of footballs. She will need both removed once she gets the kidney transplant opportunity that will change her life.

Finances are an inescapable part of her journey, including the cost of a 200-mile roundtrip drive to meet with her transplant team every few weeks. Post-transplant medications alone are estimated at $2,000 to $3,000 per month. Find her page and more family photos at #WhyWeFundraise
