You are truly an awesome person wow. I know your cuz is watchin you everyday and thanks you for giving that gift. An inspiration. I think its a lot easier to get a liver than it is to open eyed totally aware donate a piece of your organ. Amazing. Hopefully more people can learn from you.
What are you wanting to teach? I have worked deaf children from pre - k to high school. High school is my favorite! I have also worked with other speech delayed children (down syndrome, autism, etc...)
Bless you for being a living donor. I'm sorry complications arose for your cousin.
My name is Donnia. On June 5, 2008 my friend, my hero, Joyce, gave me her kidney. As my husband told her "God has you (donors) on his 'special' list.... You Ryan are on His 'special" list too!
All's good bro. As you can see the site is growing nicely (about 50 new sign ups last week alone!!). Good to hear you're getting back into the mix of things man! I have lots of plans for the site and wish I had more time to do it all, but some good things are coming soon as I can implement. Stay tunned and do stop by from time to time. Enjoy the rest of your summer..
Ryan, FYI I'm sending someone named Laura to your page here on Transplant Cafe. She donated to her brother but tragically, he didn't make it through recovery. She came to my blog looking for a way to connect to others who had donated but then lost their loved ones. You cool with that?
Oh so what games/events are u doing then? Are u guna be travelling through Europe or just a vacation nx year? Well stay in touch as I live 1 hour outside London and if need tips where to go/not to bother...I'll help where I can. Guna eat dins now 8pm...not sure what time u r there now..maybe everyone is sleeping?? lol x
Hi Ryan..how are you? Wow..I have just read your story, and mixed emotions..how wonderful what u did, but also how sad too about complications u mention about your cousin that sadly she passed away. Sending u positive vibes frm here in the UK x
Hey Ryan - Everything is going great! The surgery went very well and my step-dad was discharged the same day I was. I'm surprised at how tired I get from doing the simplest things.... that's getting better already though. Hope your doing well!
Thank you so much! I'm sure I'll have lots of questions afterwards as to what's "normal". I've had a lot of questions the past few months and it's hard to explain the emotions to someone else that hasn't been there. I'm so glad Becky hooked me up with this site and the blog has been a great outlet.
Oh, by the way.. your profile made me realize I should add another question for living donors highlighting the organ they donated. Feel free to revisit the questions to answer that question.. or not.
Welcome to the site man. I'll do my best to make you feel at home here. You are quite a hero!
