Hi Alicia, I waited about three years. Once my condition deminished although, they were able to move me up on the list. Stay in close communication with your Drs.and your meld score.
I know its hard but I believe everything happens for a reason. Im glad I found this site so far I have made great friends and I hope you and I will become great friends also. It is nice to find someone that can relate to me and it does make me feel better also to know that I can talk to you. Because even though I have a great family still kind bugs me when they say I know what your going trough. Because they really dont but you do. I hope you have a great weekend and a great fathers day. Hugs and kisses Karina

Hi Alicia. How are you doing? How long have you been on the waiting list now? Because of the hep c, do you need a whole liver, or partial? Do you have more good days than bad, or visa versa? I know how the fatigue can really get to you. Especially with a little one to take care. Take care of yourself, take naps with your little one. The house can wait. You probably all ready know that. Where is Wrightwood? I'm in San Diego. Keeping you in my prayers, Lili
Alicia, I just wanted to say hi and see how everything is going for you :) I truly hope you recieve your new liver soon! Let me know if you ever need anyone to chat with. I had a liver amost 4 years ago. Your in my thoughts and prayers! Take care and let me know how things are going...

Alicia, welcome to The transplant Cafe. I can tell you the people here ARE like family. The kindest people you'll ever meet. I too have hep C. I have had two treatments on
interferon and riba- also to no avail. Two bad years on those harsh meds. I had to give up my job as a med asst. after 18 years. Could not handle it. I am geno type 1. Then I found out I had kidney disease, prob. because of my diabetes. So that took priority. My sister donated her favorite kidney to me in 2008. I've truly been blessed. Anytime you want, I'm here, as well as everyone else. Your little boy looks adorable.
I have faith that God will make his mommy better. I would like you to be my friend. Okay with you? Lil
Hang in there. We're all family here and it's good to have you on. All the tools of the site are here to help you release that frustration and help others with theirs. I think you might also enjoy writing in your blog, if you're the writing type. It's also good to help others with their frustrations to release your own.
