Today marks my 2 year anniversary since my kidney transplant/
Hey everyone, Today marks my 2nd year anniversary of my Kidney trasnplant.
Although I still have my ups & downs about what I have been through & have to go through in my life, this year I was able to realize how I have so much more to live for.
Life after transplant is not easy for everyone & it hasn’t been for me. Despite having a loving family who no longer take my ‘I just had surgery excuses’ (bastards lol), I’m grateful for the 2 years (and hopefully many more) I will be able to share with them.
I also want to thank everyone on this site because you guys have helped keep me afloat so many times.... I have vented and vented and vented soooo many times in the Cafe and each time someone was always there with encouraging words. It's a great feeling when you know that no matter what, you will always have a place to go to where people in similar situations can give you a word of advice.
I just want to give a special thanks to my cousin Erik (Not on the site) for the 2nd chance at life he has given me & I really wish him (and everyone else as well) the best in life.
Last I just wanna say, try not to let your situation slow you down. Sometimes things happen in life for a reason. Life is only 10% what happens to you but 90% how you respond to it.
