I got a kidney!
On October 21st @9:30 p.m. I got a call from Jackson Memorial that they had a perfect match! I was transplanted on the 22nd. Home and doing well! Release after 5 days.

How wonderful! My heart is doing a jig of joy for you at receiving your new kidney and then doing so well afterwards. I hope you may continue to have good health and adjust well to your medications. Although I did not get a kidney (I had a multivisceral transplant), I also had my transplant performed at Jackson Memorial. I loved the staff, doctors, nurses, and others there who were so very good to me at a difficult but also life-affirming time. I wish I could see them again but I live in another state. May you find blessings anew each day. Many hugs and best of wishes.
