Dear Friends and Family,

We are on a mission! David was diagnosed 8 years ago with Chronic Hepatitis C and a fatty liver. After a few years of unsuccessful treatment, he was informed that he had End Stage Liver Disease and he needs a Liver Transplant soon! David’s life has changed drastically and the normal everyday things we take for granted makes him exhausted. He can no longer do the things he use to do! When his ammonia level rises, he goes into encephalopathy. His brain swells, and he doesn’t remember his name, his family’s names, how to eat, or other everyday things. This illness has taken over his life, and he wants his life back!

Most of us do not realize the cost of immunosuppressive medications typically ranges from $20,600 to $32,900 per year and even with insurance co-pays can be unaffordable. David is registered with the Georgia Transplant Foundation and they will match the first $10,000 raised but the rest will be up to David and his family. That won’t get him through the first year of medication, and he has to take it for the rest of his life!

As friends of David and Kim Teston we do not want them wondering from month to month if they will have the money to pay for his medication or wondering how they are going to pay their bills because they had to use that money for his medication. We are asking everyone to pass this letter on to everyone they know. If each person just sent one dollar and sent this letter to 10 people and encouraged them to do the same it would make a huge difference for this wonderful man and his family. The possibilities are endless.

2. Send a check or money order (made payable to David Teston’s Liver Transplant Fund) directly to: David Teston’s Liver Transplant Fund, c/o Bryan Bank and Trust, P.O. Box 1299, Richmond Hill, GA 31324 or drop off at any Richmond Hill location.
3. Continue to follow our story on the website and come join in our future fundraising activities.

Please take a moment to search your heart for one, two, or even three dollars. If you do not have it please continue to keep David in your prayers. As stated by his wife Kim, “David loves unconditionally but finds it harder and harder to keep up. He wants more time, more laughs, more hugs, and more life………..”
