Hello translant friends.
I have a dilema. I recently had an interview for a job as a CNA at the nursing home in my area. It's a part time position. 28 hours per 2 week pay period. I did get the job. I haven't work since october of 08. Before I became Ill I was a CNA and going to school to be a nurse. I plan to reaturn to school. I'd like to go back to work for reasons for myself and maybe some reasons for others. I don't want to seem lazy. I still have lots of issues with my bo

Well, I didn't bring home any medals from Madison but does that really matter? No it doesn't because of these three things. 1. I've survived. 2. I participated. 3. I had fun.
The most important aspect of these past games is I was officially welcomed into the Quarter Century Club; all members have survived 25 years plus post transplant. Seeing the club members gathered together made me reflect on my life and what might have been if it wasn't for two families somewhere in Iowa who made the gre

This is an article I wrote for my local OTS (Organ Transplant Support group) printed newsletter. I had to keep it to 400 words, which was NOT easy! I interviewed Nelson for the article. He suggested I also post it here. So here goes; I know nothing about HTML and stuff, so I'm just pasting it in here and hoping it looks right:

Hey so i was wondering if maybe we could set up days and certain time where we can all (whoever can of course) meet in the chat-room to see how things are going, answer any questions about something or just for a conversation... I sometimes see people looking for a conversation at diff times and it would be nice if maybe someone was there when they were looking to talk... It could have been something they really were looking to talk about with people who share similar experiences....

As a two-time kidney transplant recipient, it is my mission to educate the public on organ and tissue donation and increase the dismal registration rate in the U.S. and especially in New York state where I live. I was born with chronic kidney failure and had my first kidney transplant when I was six and my second kidney transplant when I was twelve. It has now been going 15 years and I wrote a book in 2006, launched it in 2009, and now it is my goal to publish it as a traditional book. My book's…

I have heard in several conversations that people have been referred to psych services as a result of depression, other issues post-transplant. I am curious as to how those services were paid for? Insurance, through mental health coverage, transplant coverage, etc.

However, since I was still having the feelings, we still had to see why I was getting them and we thought maybe it was one of the medications that were causing my anxiety sinc
