Wow! that is something I wanna do so bad, to fly...err, fall. Congrats!! Hey, I had a lil question for you (forgive the ignorance) but I see (I think) that you have quite a few tattoos. I was wondering if you got those before or after your liver transplant? I am waiting for a new one, and wanted a new tat to go with it, but wasn't sure if it was something i need to ask the doc. hehe. Thanks, and Congrats again! It gives hope... <3 Ricki

Mike- why 2 liver tx? Did something go wrong? I had one in May 2008. Then major complications- whole body failure! Whew! Now my counts seem to go up everytime- and I guess they are wondering about rejection. did that happen to you? I am so scared sometimes about it.

any helpful advise?

Hey Mike-Just wondering how you have been feeling these days. Been to HUP for labs 2 weeks ago and things look good. Hope you are well.

I also race BMX when I was younger and I raced mountain bikes up to 2003. I'll be honest, riding a road bike is a far cry from BMX and XC. I like it now for two reasons: comradery and low impact fitness. My guess is that you will need to find a bike shop that does group rides in your area (don't be shy or embarrassed about your fitness now). Most of these guys are nice, and riding with the pack will motivate you and jump start your competitive edge again. Also, go to a shop and get fitted for a road bike even if you don't want to buy new. Bike size is more important on road bikes than BMX or XC. Once you know your frame size you can look for the right buy! Let me know how things go!

Mike, I saw your post about cycling. I am also trying to make it to the transplant games in Madison, WI next year. I just started getting on my bike again a couple of weeks ago. You should be able to find everything you need here: http://transplantcafe.com/events/us-transplant-games-2010

Glad to hear the good news about your labs! I know it's scary when you get the same feelings you had in rejection. Just wanted to say I hope your feeling better and go have some FUN!! :)
