I just did 7 laps. Each lap is about 1.25k. The place I rode was a circuit where the time trial race is going to be held on Tuesday (Monday time in the States). It was a good chance to have an idea of what the circuit looks like and share that with my other teammates. I have to find a rhythm early and try to get equal times while I'm going around each lap.

I'm not sure if I actually averaged 28.024 kph over the course of my travels today, but I did go 43.12k (26.7935 miles). I headed south on the Gold Coast Highway before turning off and heading out towards the "Bush." It was gorgeous. I got to see some of Australia that I wouldn't have seen otherwise. So far the people here on the Gold Coast remind of a cross between people from San Diego and Texas. The food has been very impressive in Australia. The foods are freshed and it seem… Continue

Today my was my final ride before boarding a plane to Australia tomorrow night. Now my bike is being packed up and I'll take it with me in a large bike case tomorrow. It should be the most fun I'll have during the trip lugging that thing around … not. I rode pretty well today. I didn't break any records for myself but I was three minutes better than I was on the same course going over the hilll first than just last week when I was still feeling very ill. Now I feel better. I swam the swimming portion of the Hansen Damm Triathlon as apart of a Relay Team with Jose (cycling) and his friend Willie (running). We finished second overall. I swam 457 meters (500 yards) in 11.05, 47 seconds better than last year's time. Out of the 26 relay teams, I was 10th. My goal is to do that course in 10 minutes or less.
