Thomas K. Lohry

4/2/09

Today it is raining again in Atlanta GA. I have been staying at my younger brothers home since before Christmas. He had liver cancer, and has since had a transplant (2/5/09) from a cadaver donor. He is doing well after having been on the list for seven years and then being diagnosed with cancer, we thought he would not be with us much longer. Thank God for giving him a second chance to enjoy nature and life.

Hi again. I am in Rhinelander...winter just arrived. We could still see the brown grass of fall on Monday Dec. 7th, today Dec tenth there is twelve inches of snow and 0 degrees with -twenty wind chill. This when I envy the occupants of California. Merry Christmas and enjoy life.
No I have not gotten a job yet, plenty of interviews with great prospects...it will come

Hi Thomas. How are you? Are you in Atlanta or Rhinelander now? Any luck finding a job yet? In these times, it has to be extra hard. So many people losing their jobs.
How is your younger brother doing these days? God is so good! Drop me a line and let me know how you are. Because of a balance issue left over from my stroke, I fell at dog park trying to avoid falling over my collie, Sage. Oct. 30th I had to have surg. because of the resulting spiral fracture in my left ankle . Now I have a metal plate and screws. So you could say I'm all screwed up and you wouldn't be lying! It's been weeks now that I have not been able to bear weight on my leg. I'm getting very stir crazy! I keep Netflix very busy. Plus the few pounds I lost previously, are creeping back due to no cardiovascular exercise. I soooo want to go on a road trip or SOMETHING, ANYTHING!! Sorry. Had to get that off my chest.
Drop a line when you can. Happy Trails, Lili

Hi friend! Yes San Diego is beautiful all year round, we just don't get your kind of autumns. Yes at our age ( I'm 60 ) PT would be very hard on the body. I have had a bad back for years and could never do that kind of work. I actually had to quit being an M.A. several years ago due to health reasons. I also have hep C and the interferon tx's I went through for a couple of years, did me in. And they were unsuccessful to boot!
Then I had a stroke . Then my transplant last year. My family does not want me to work. I am on SSI. 5 doctors ok'd it.
Have you gotten any good connections or advice, on finding a job in your area? God bless and good luck my friend.

Thomas, Hi! I am also a med. asst. If you want to move to San diego you could get a job. There is a shortage here. I would think there would be a shortage everywhere! How long have you been one? I would try for a large clinic setting, because they pay better than a small doctors office. I once lived in the Northern East. Loved Autumn! Wanna be friends?
