Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I don't goo on this site much. Kombucha is a beverage made with type of fungi starter, called a scobie for short. It is now available in stores. I love it, because I can't handle caffeine, aand it makes a wonderful pick me up. IT is made with sugar and tea, but the organism changes them into a different beverage, that is slightly fizzy can be very acidic if you let it go too long, and can be flavored. It is probiotic, and very good for your gut. The only people I don't recommend drink it are ones with yeast or candida problems, Some with those conditions can tolerate it, but check with the health care professional you are consulting. I have been so lazy this Summer, I have been buying it instead of making it, but it is so expensive, I have got to get myself back in the grove! Being August (already) I have piles of produce that need to be saved, and herbs to be cut and dried. That means the Kombucha will probably still be store bought for awhile. It was nice to talk to you. Susan

Here we go again....and again!

So I had my first liver tx in 2005 (living donor) and had bile duct issues. I had a 2nd tx March 16th and have bile duct problems yet again and now I'm faced with needing a 3rd tx. Has anyone out there had 3 transplants? I've been stuck in hospital since March and the doctors want to send me home...even though I still require IV antibiotics and a VACC system. My family and I are quite nervous.
