Gina Hernandez said… - For anyone that reads this, Paula is my mom and she needs lots of prayers. She finally got her liver transplant on 11-06-09. Before she got her liver, she went into a hepatic coma and got the liver exactly one week later. Her MELD score was higher than we thought possible and she was ALMOST too sick to get the transplant. She has had a lot of problems since she got her liver and currently, she has been back in the hospital for almost two weeks now. She is very confused and will not eat. I think this is due to the prograf and she is neurotoxic. This happened once before. Any thoughts or experience with this? I'm worried that my mom has brain damage and will never be the same.

- Hello Was Wonder What Your Meld Score Is? I was listed my Meld was 13 all signs pointed that it would go up and it went down to 10 and stayed there for 10 months. I never knew when I got the letter stating your on the Transplant List that I wasn't on the Active List For A Liver In Florida Your Meld Score Has To Be 15 or higher to be on the USA State wide active UNOS List. I am not sure what Texas rules are I hate that word rules....... Many Blessings To You! Cathy
