Well its day 4 and things continue to progress ... moved out of step down and into a regular room and off most of her lines etc. Not much appetite but has to eat to take her pills now that the pain pump is disconnected. Thank you to all for your encouragement and kind words ... Lina will love this when she gets home!

my husband rcvd a liver transplant 2 1/2 yrs ago and we have been so truly blessed.

two months ago we rcvd a letter from our donor fmily and we are planning on meeting in february at Life Gift donor ceremony to honor them.


i think back to the night we got called, seemslike yesterday . we were so scared.. and spechless.

So this morning started out on what we hope is a good note ... while at the hospital & starting day 2 of her i/v prednisone treatment they stopped the drip & announced it looks like its not really signs of rejection but just a virus ... is this good…

Week 5 starting ... where does the time go? Getting used to not being able to schedule anything & taking nothing for granted. Biopsy last week done after concerns that meds weren't doing enough to stop rejection. Upped the prednisone over the weeken…

Liver Transplant Updates - Lina Spencer

Well we're into the start of day 2 of my wife's post trasnplant life.

We got the call friday afternoon - Friday the 13th has never been luckier!.

Surgery began Nov 14 at approx noon and Lina (my wife) was back up in the ICU by 6pm or so. They tell me there was no bleeding and the surgery went off without having to use any blood.
