Hi there Marshall:
I wanted to personally thank you for joining my Transplant Creativity group. I extend a warm welcome and hope you will enjoy it there. Share anything that inspires you and it doesn't have to be your work just put down the artist or author if known. It could be a song, music, poem, story, movie, photo, picture, an object, etc. anything that gives you a feeling of life and living and brings joy to your world. Thanks again and keep in touch.
Hugs, Karen

That's great news! No surprise regarding the appetite. It will get better. Any word on the recipient of her liver?

Well its day 4 and things continue to progress ... moved out of step down and into a regular room and off most of her lines etc. Not much appetite but has to eat to take her pills now that the pain pump is disconnected. Thank you to all for your encouragement and kind words ... Lina will love this when she gets home!

Surgery began Nov 14 at approx noon and Lina (my wife) was back up in the ICU by 6pm or so. They tell me there was no bleeding and the surgery went off without having to use any blood. As you may have heard, Lina's need for a transplant comes from familial amyloidosis. Her liver was to be transplanted into another waiting patient and as I left the ho… Continue
