About Me: Please use this space to tell the community about yourself and your unique experience with transplantation:
I have Cystic Fibrosis and I am now 35. I was put on the transplant list in 2005. I waited 2 years for a double lung transplant and in that time received 6 false calls. By then my health had deteriorated and the doctors did not expect me to live through the night. I was on a ventilator in hospital. My 7th call came on the 27th April 07. Luckily it went ahead. I had a tough 6 weeks in Intensive Care and another 2 weeks on the ward. It took me around 12 months in total to fully recover. Life now though is brilliant, I am so lucky and can do so many things that I could not do before. I was in a wheelchair and on oxygen for 2 years. I now play badminton , have joint a gym and have even been abroad on holiday.

Hi Lisa- I am so busy at work, I have a hard time doing anything fun. I'm worn out. Fortunately my job is both fun and rewarding but I don't think my hubby likes that I'm practically married to that job. What about you?

no the games is all about participation. there are a range of abilities and a range of sports. They take place every year in a different city in britain. you usually compete for the hospital in which you got transplanted in. if you contact your co ordinator they will give you contact details. failing that get back to me and i;ll find out who your team manager is.i,m meeting a heart transplant guy this morning who i believe was transplanted in your hospital. i,ll ask him.he is coming to ireland to meet hiss donor family... brillant!!!

Hey Lisa; just a quick "FYI:" in order to respond to someones comment on your page, you want to hit "comment back" below their comment. Otherwise your response posts on your page as it did below and they don't get to see it unless they happen to come back to your page randomly.
