- I was diagnosed with liver failure on my 56th birthday and was referred to USC Internal Transplant. I developed liver cancer but was lucky enough that my daughter was a match for the living donor program and I got the transplant 6 weeks after the cancer was diagnosed. I have been doing so well and consider myself blessed to have great doctors and an amazing daughter.
