What to bring to the hospital?

If you have an ipod I would suggest putting some audiobooks on it. That really helped the time fly for me :)

I agree. It is a great support system!!! Its amazing to think none of this was available not too long ago (before the internet). I am so greatful we all have these websites available to us!

Happy (very late) Birthday to you too! I don't get here as much as I thought I would, but seeing all the comments I've gotten will help lure me in I'm sure. Congratulations on your transplant! I can see from your picture above that you just celebrated your "question mark" birthday. Congrats on that milestone as well!

I too am having to deal with the Double Vision. But remember, it's "worth it", being that you do have your sight back. Just see it as a bump in the road within our recovery process. And remember, we were some of the "lucky ones" that the procedure we had, worked.

Tomorrow I go in for an appointment with my Cornea Spec. and I have a Cataract that he is keeping an eye on. It started forming last month. So I get to have more surgery.
