Hi Fred,

Great to have you here at the Cafe. Hope all is going well for you. The last 4 yrs. have been great for me. I am on a roll and never take a single day for granted. It was 10 yrs ago this month (1999) that I received my pancreas. It was done by itself...not too many people had just the pancreas done at that time. My kidneys failed in 2002 and I did dialysis for over 2 years (juvenile diabetes has taken its toll). Received my kidney in 2004 and I have been going strong ever since. Are you into golf (hense, employment) I love golf..been playing for 2 1/2 yrs. now...hoping to compete in 2010 Transplant Games for Team Maryland. Keep in touch and thanks for the invite to be firends!

Hi Fred. Thank you for your kind words; I truly feel blessed to be healthy and active. How wonderful that you also know the Gromadas. They are truly an incredible family; I can't begin to explain what it means to me to have the opportunity to meet them and get to know them a little. It touched me deeply when they made it to the games. I pray that the experience was truly a blessing and a bit of healing for them. Do you see them often? If so, please give them my love. Thank you, Fred, for reaching out at the Transplant Cafe! Please keep in touch. Best in health. Tracy
