My transplant team was the best. I had end stage congestive heart failure and was placed in the hospital, for the final time in August 2009, got on the transplant list Nov 4th 2009 and received my new gift of live on December 14, 2009, The transplant team was execeptional, they brought me a lap top to keep in touch with family, gave me 2 hr passes off the floor, and I received the most wonderful Christmas present from the team, I am in contact with the team monthly, and I am now 2 1/2 post, and see my team every 6 months. I have 4 cardiologiest, well thats how many are on the team. I dont know what else to say, I love them all dearly

I am on disibility due to the transplant, but I love being outdoors, I ride my bike daily, do yoga, love to knit and crochet, and one of my dreams is to run a half marathon

I dont know if my experience is any different, but I do know that 2 days after the transplant, the surgeon came in and removed draining tubes. 4 days after transplant they had me up walking. 10 days after transplant I was released from the transplant center and back in to the hospital I had spent last 5 months in.
