I donated my husband's organs after he suddenly passed away 7 months after my liver transplant. It's an amazing thing to give someone else the gift of life, sight, etc. I am so thankful for my new liver and am grateful for anyone who will donate organs for another.

Thanks for responding Cheryl. Yes waiting is so hard! My itching is pretty much in control,i take 2 rifampin daily and it seems to work fine. I was dx in 2001 at stage 2,but put on the list in June '07. I hope and pray it will happen soon cause the confusion is getting worse and am so tired and exhausted all the time. It is so nice to see a PBC'er having their tx and doing well as you are. Gives us hope!

Hi Cheryl, I have PBC and waiting for my liver. I've been on the tx list for 26 months now. Looks like you are doing well,it is so nice to see. Gives us who are waiting some hope. The waiting period is hard and long. Did you wait very long for your liver? How bad we're you before you got the tx? Take care ! Diane
