This is a group for all people who have had liver transplants. Feel free to say how long you have been a recipient and what medication you are on. Some doctors hope to have their patients off all medications, any thoughts?

Hi, I'm so sorry, I just saw this message. Yes, if there's any thing I can help you with I'd be glad to. Fill me in on your husband's situation and how long he's been waiting. I hope he gets his transplant soon.

Hi, I'm also 18 months post liver. As far as diet I learned alot from internet sites and basically my nurse ad doctors said to follow a low salt ,low fat diet. I also took multi vit, omega 3, vit C and milk thistle. I have just started interfeon treatment. Some form of exercise is good also you want to be in the best shape you can be that will help. Good Luck and I hope you don't have to wait too long.Your son is cute. God Bless

Hi Benjamin, I had a liver transplant 18 months ago, my MELD on tx day was 37 ... and I have done great. I hope your wait isn't a long one ... and am so happy you're here at the Transplant Cafe. You'll find hope, knowledge, support ... but most of all friendship. Never hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns. I didn't have a mentor or support group while I waited .. and this is an awesome place to find all kinds of support and help. Hang in there darlin' ... there is a great life after transplant.
