I've been on both Cellcept and Rapamune and was told to always take them one hour before meals or one hour after meals.  Empty stomach increases maximum absorption.

Been on cellcept for years now and I always have to take it on a empty stomach or else I really get sick

I had a liver tx 4 years ago.  Last winter I went on Rapamune and Cellcept.  So far so good.

Gary, right with you brother!  My Drs. at Univ.of Ne.Med Center concur.  Important to remember though we are al different----"one size fits all"  saying doesn't work here.  The tiredness and sometimes---moody without cause comes into play with me.  Peace Gary!

I had my liver transplant at Duke on june 28th 2003. I was put on prograf until this past Feb. I was started on Cellcept because of elevated kidney numbers. My last blood test was great. My kidneys and liver were all normal. My Dr. at Duke told me that my type 2 diabetes may deminish or go away, also my blood pressure may improve to the point that I may come off some blood pressure meds. This is a not a given you need to watch what you eat and exercise. I started the the diabetic Nutrasystem diet 3 months ago. I have lost 18 lbs. and I do belive this is helping my bolld pressure and diabetes. I don't want to say for sure until I have been on it longer. Has anyone else been told that cellcept may improve diabetes and blood pressure. The one thing with me is that I feel sleepy and tired several days a week. Then for no reason I will feel great for several days. Dose any of this sound familiar to anyone.  Gary M.

When they first put me on Cellcept; I was throwing up, but they just gave me Zofran. Once I was on it for a longer period of time I no longer needed the Zofran.

(Hope I spelled Zofran right.)

My husband, Curtis was #263 heart transplant at St. Luke's Hopsital in KC, MO on 04-10-04.  He is doing wonderfully!  Just wanted to share with everyone that you may qualify for free Cellcept with a copay card from Roche.  It pays up to $100 per month toward Cellcept prescription and refills.  The card says good through 2009, but when I called their number, they said the program is continuing.  The telephone number is 1-877-509-2235.

Does anyone know of a program to get free or discounted Neoral????

Here we go again....and again!

So I had my first liver tx in 2005 (living donor) and had bile duct issues. I had a 2nd tx March 16th and have bile duct problems yet again and now I'm faced with needing a 3rd tx. Has anyone out there had 3 transplants? I've been stuck in hospital since March and the doctors want to send me home...even though I still require IV antibiotics and a VACC system. My family and I are quite nervous.

This is for those of us who take Prograf as a main immune suppressive drug. We can discuss side effects, etc. Or, we can just keep a head count of how many in the community take Prograf.
