Process

Dear Team USA Registrants:

To simplify the payment process, we have made some adjustments to the payment instructions and deadline for the World Transplant Games Registration fee that is required in a Foreign Bank Draft (AUD) and due to Team USA Headquarters. Please review the updated information below.

WORLD TRANSPLANT GAMES REGISTRATION FEE

A Foreign Bank Draft is required for the World Games registration fee in Australian Dollars (AUD). Foreign Bank Drafts (Australian Dollars/AUD) must be made payable to: TRANSPLANT AUSTRALIA and mailed to Team USA Headquarters.

**A 10% deposit of your registration fee is required via a Foreign Bank Draft in AUD and is due to Team USA Headquarters no later than May 8, 2009. During the week of April 20th, Team USA Headquarters will email each team member an invoice and the amount required for the deposit. Please do not submit payment before hearing from us first.

**The remainder of the WTG registration fee balance is due to Team USA Headquarters by no later than June 15, 2009. To avoid extra charges for an additional Foreign Bank Draft to cover the remaining balance, it is strongly suggested that you submit the entire amount due on the invoice by May 8th, if feasible. If you require additional information, please contact Team USA Headquarters at 800-622-9010.

**The remainder of the WTG registration fee balance is due to Team USA Headquarters by no later than June 15, 2009.

Please wait until you hear from Team USA Headquarters before sending in Foreign Bank Drafts for the World Games Registration fee.

Lastly, there will be a Team USA Orientation Webinar on Thursday at 3:30 PM. Please register for the Webinar through the link sent out via Team USA Listserv. We will address some of the comments discussed in this forum. If you have any questions that would like to be addressed in the Webinar, please email them to liz.johnson@kidney.org.

I look forward to meeting you all!

Sincerely,
Nikki
Team USA Co-Manager

Too many people ignore the close inter-relation between kidney diseases and diabetes or hypertension. Worldwide, 246 million people suffer from diabetes and the figure is expected to reach 380 million by 2025. Diabetic nephropathy affects a third of people suffering from diabetes. Sadly, less than half people diagnosed with diabetes undergo a screening test.
Next Word Kidney Day will be held on Thursday 11 March 2010 and will focus on Diabetes, the leading cause of kidney failure.

World Kidney Day offers a crucial, visible opportunity to inform and educate health policy-makers, people who are at highest risk of CKD, and the general public that kidney disease is common, harmful and treatable.

Join our World Kidney Day 2010 group and come to exchange your experience and ideas that could be proposed to World Kidney Day organisers over the world.

The success of World Kidney Day across the world is only possible because of each of you!

Hi Mike
I notice that too. In Bangkok, Glen wore dockers and a nice shirt, but I'm packing him a suit for OZ. I think you will probably find some in just a suit jacket or blazer with tie. (Hopefully, some of the other gents will respond to your query.) See you soon! Best regards, Tracy
GO TEAM USA!!

I am looking for anyone who might be able to answer this question. In the wtg circular that came out on Wednesday, they talk about ladies wearing an evening dress and gents wearing a jacket and tie. Do we bring a suit jacket or a blazer, or a whole suit? I have a suit, now just trying to figure out if I need to pack it.

thanks,
Mike, GO TEAM USA!!

I was told we need to have a swim party... pondering this. My coach was telling me the kids have "shave parties" before... not sure I am on board with that one :P
