I too hope that all may have a merry holiday season that will abound with love, laughter, peace, and hope. At this time of year, I seem to feel closer to humanity with a spirit of giving. May this yearning to connect and give to others continue to last all throughout the year. May new blessings surprise everyone each day. Just being a part of this site seems to be a gift that never stops to give to me. Thank you.

Dear Dean,
I hope that your wife's doctors were able to get her signs of rejection under control and that she may soon feel better. I remember what is is like to have appointments which on paper would seem to only take a small part of the day and instead they always ended up taking all the day because of waiting which is why I always try to bring a good book or something to write on and with. Like others I usually plan on such events to take all day just in case as it is usually the case that they do. I am continuing to keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. Best of wishes.

Dear Barbara,
I know that the transplant journey can possibly be long and difficult, but to me it has all been worth it just for the extra time I have had to spend with my family. I got a liver as part of a multivisceral transplant more than four years ago. I had some complications post transplant that lead to a longer stay in the hospital, but each challenge I think just made me appreciate my new life even more. It is good that you are trying to keep as healthy as possible pretransplant. My doctors were concerned about how weak I was before the transplant, but I made sure to take a walk every day even if I could only make it outside the building where I was staying, and I think it was these walks that helped to keep my body strong enough to make it through the surgery although I give God all the real credit and those who were praying for me and supporting me. I hope that your wait will not be too much longer. I had two dry runs before my final call. May God bless you and give you the strength to continue to endure, and may you find new reasons to smile each and every day. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Many, many hugs.

Dean is blessed.I always say jokingly I wish I had a wife. My husbands a great guy but not a natural nurturer. I think I will get on my tread mill and start walking again. I stopped since last week.
Thanks for the encouragement. God be with you and Dean

Marshall - hang in there. Dean has been thru many biopsies over the 21 years since his transplant, and many many medication adjustments. It's good that they are watching her to know that she needs the adjustment! We usually plan on them being an entire day ... for that matter we plan on most of his appointments taking up the whole day, and then if they don't it's a nice surprise.

Barb - Hang in there! You are never alone and you will be fine! :0) You probably have a better chance going in than most people because of your healthy lifestyle. Deans labs have improved since we switched to organic everything...so you will probably need fewer meds in the long run too. Stay grounded and focused on your positive outcome..all will be well!

Best wishes to all...

Thanks so much for the quick resonse and the sincere and wonderful support. Now I am really not feeling so alone or afraid.
I guess I haven't been so very sick and getting on the list seemed kind of wierd, although there are more symptoms popping up weekly. My eyes are finally getting to look a little yellow too. I am trusting God bottom line! Thanks guys.
