Barbara, I am so glad to hear that you are now starting to do so much better since your transplant. The time right after my transplant was also the hardest for me, but it was certainly worth the struggle. I hope that you can soon find a resolution to your incisional hernia trouble too. You are wished only the best and many hugs.

Diane, my heart is dancing with joy for you! I am so glad that you have been blessed with this gift and may the blessings from it only continue to abound as time passes. Many hugs.

Like to hear all these good reports. My prayers go out to those who are still struggling with their new liver grafts. I was extremely ill for several months after my transplant in Dec 09 with an acute HCV onslaught. Bilirubin and enzymes were very high. They lowered my antirejection drugs and let my body rebuild my immune system.
Thanks to God, my donor and family, husband, and all the team that helped me, my labs are almost normal, bilirubin is fine and I am beginning to feel good. Now if this incisional hernia would only go away!

I'm a little over 7 months and suddenly I'm feeling better than I have in a decade - literally. It is totally worth the wait and the work...

That's great. I had my transplant just over a year ago. In another 6 months, you're going to start feeling like before you became ill.

I had my transplant 23 months ago and I am very fortunate that I am doing very well.. I have been back to work for close to a year now and things are not the same , but I still can do what I enjoy and that is contracting work. I contacted hep. C virus in the 1980s and did not know I had the virus until 2007, when it nearly ended my life on numerous occasions. I know many people who went thru the treatment since I have become very educated on the disease. I will not take any treatment if the clinic would ask, but I would never recomend or even suggest what others should do. That is my decision and all are entitled to their own decision. I am so grateful to be living a normal life and to be healthy. My blood work has been very good and I thank the Good Lord daily. Good Luck To All Nick
