This is a group for all people who have had liver transplants. Feel free to say how long you have been a recipient and what medication you are on. Some doctors hope to have their patients off all medications, any thoughts?

Comment by Ezv on March 3, 2013 at 10:07am Thanks for the share, Carlos! I've now seen a couple of articles of people playing with mixing donor and patient cells to avoid immunosuppressants. In another article, they introduced donor bone marrow cells to the recipient. Awesome stuff!

Comment by Bobbiejo Winfrey on January 22, 2013 at 4:35pm Consuming foods with soluble fiber may help. For example, the pectin in apples or the soluble fiber in oatmeal or perhaps cereals like Cheerios made with it. Doing this along with exercise helped my father lower his overall cholesterol. I hope you may also find success in doing so. Best of wishes.

Comment by Bornali on January 12, 2013 at 2:17pm Hi Stu,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Very comforting. Well, I had a drain for 4 months after the surgery associated with infections. I panicked and I remember I was scared. Things are good though I am experiencing the first one and half years jitters. Trying to stay positive. Great to meet ya. Hugs
