I am thankful for the miracle of medicine that makes transplants possible, and thankful for all the marvelous families in the world who donate their loved ones organs. I am thankful for living donors -- for their courage, their selflessness, their love. I am thankfull for the Internet for connecting us all like this, and for Nelson's hard work to build a home for us on the Web. I am thankful for second chances, for every breath I breathe, for inspiration that comes from the heart, and for today.

I am very thankful for the bonus 6 years of life my Donor Tory has given to me. I am also very thankful for my lovely wife who has given me the best 12 years of my life!

I am thankful for life today. I woke up this morning in my right mind with all my faculties working. I did not need help dressing myself or help feeding myself. I am thankful for being a mom and a grandmother. I am thankful for having my mother still with me. I am thankful for my family who has given me such amazing strength. I am thankful for the fact that I can feel the sun on my face and the wind on my back. I am thankful for God being in my life. I am thankful for new journeys to explore. I am thankful for this site where I can be heard and understood.

I am just thankful for even having the opportunity of being thankful. I am thankful for God as He has helped through everything despite my inadequacies out of a love that knows no bounds. I am thankful for my donor family who gave so generously at a difficult time that I might have a chance to live. I am thankful for my family, friends, and everyone else who has been so kind to me in my journey and made each step forward a blessing. I am thankful for the beauty of nature that continues to amaze me and surprise me each day. I am thankful for support groups like this that enable others to reach out and support each other. I am thankful that I can breathe, walk, read, write. I am thankful that there is music in the world. I am especially glad of the love that is in the world working wonders anew each day.

I wrote this last Thanksgiving.

I have much thanks to all who have so kindly given.

Those who have given me renewed life:
My daughter for selflessly being the live liver organ donor. We have now shared an incredible experience.
My son, for scrubbing the internet, insisting we look into the hospital in Taiwan, where I had my transplant, and for his continued emotional support during a rough time.
My sister, for coming through at a moment's notice, dropping everything to fly to my assistance.
And of course to my dear husband, my caretaker who went through so much and persevered out of love.

Thanks to the surgical team for their skill.
Thanks to the kindness of strangers easing the way.
Thanks for goldenboy and his mother,( a 4year old transplant recipient and his donor mother) being there with uplifting thoughts and actions in a dark situation.
Thanks for babies smiles, the gift of joy.

I am equally thankful for the prayers, meditations, positive thoughts, and emails sent to me by friends from around the world. Your voices sang to me, pulling me through.

Thank you everyone.

Thanks to the sky for being so blue.
Thanks to the food for nourishing so well.
Thanks to the water for cleansing our souls.
