Pray for Me - biopsy results
I got the news yesterday. The biopsy results show that I have multiple myeloma. It's a cancer in the cells in my bone marrow. This is why I have so much protein in my blood and urine. I am going to have further testing to see if it spread to my bones. It being the cause of my kidney failure along with all other illnesses I've had. He saids I have had for a long time. I begin chemo today, both pills and intravenous. I am still in shock and a lot of pain in bones. All along I blamed it on prednisone. Poor prednisone. I guess it contributes also.
I want to thank everyone for their words of encouragement, support and prayers. (hugs too).I really appreciate.

Hey Bobbiejo. I just got home from getting xrays to see if my bones have lesions. I began chemo. I am ready to do this. Thank you again for being my friend.

So sorry to hear this Maggie! How devastating! I had chemo, too. I was fourteen. I'm so sorry that you have to go through that. Us transplantees have already been through so much! I have to admit that you gave me a good chuckle when you said "Poor Prednisone"! We always blame the Pred, don't we? Such a nasty drug. I'm down to 1mg after receiving a new heart on 5/28/10. Please keep us posted. I had kidney failure prior to transplant and my creatinine is still a little high. I get worried sometimes. I'll be praying for you!

Hi Kevi, First congratulations on your new heart. I still try to have a sense of humor. How long have you had kidney transplant now? Having chemo at 14 must have been difficult. Thank you for prayers. I love prayers. I am sending you a special prayer today. Worrying is good sometimes. It keeps us on our toes... Maggie
