Tomorrow is Mother's Day and I am blessed to be alive and kicking and celebrating another beautiful Spring! End-stage liver disease as a result of good old Hep C eventually, luckily, thankfully, gratefully, ended in a liver transpant preformed by the Mayo Clinic team of surgeons in Jacksonville, FL in August, 2002. A month later on 9/11/02 my year of mourning for the country was replaced by hope because my first grandchild, a boy, was born on that day and I was there to see him born. Miracles truly can happen and they do. My motto since I was a teenager has always been "Keep the Faith". It was even printed in my high school year book! LOL!!! Today it has become the words I live by and I hope to pass on the same feeling of hope for the future that faith seems to shore up while you await your own transplant. Now almost 7 years post transplant I have learned a lot more than I ever thought I would know about disease and medicine. In parting all I can say again is "Keep the Faith!!!"
