Welcome to the June 2009 issue of
Transplant Cafe eXpresso - The TC Newsletter!

Hello TC Family!

Firstly, thanks to all of you for your continued support of the Cafe and inviting other recipients, people who are listed, donors, donor families and facilitators to join the community. We are quickly approaching 1500 members and surely will quickly surpass that as the site continues to grow in popularity, inbound links, great search engine placement and everyone spreading the word!

It has been a while since our last issue of Transplant Cafe eXpresso, but the goal is to make this a weekly newsletter packed with great content and awesome community announcements. The cafe has a lot of potential to be of even greater service to the transplant community and surely it will meet that potential in due time.

Until then, please continue to spread the word and using the site as a dynamic tool to increase transplant awareness and tell the world your story and experience with transplantation.

Since our last issue some really cool things have been going on in the community. New groups, social networks, interviews and awesome member stories that have been posted. See below for details:

Recently the Renal Support Network contacted me to interview me about TransplantCafe.com and what inspired the site. The interview is about 20 minutes and is available for you to listen now! Become a "Fan" of the New TransplantCafe.com Facebook Page!
TC now has a much bigger presence on Facebook! This is a really great thing because anyone can become a fan of Transplant Cafe on facebook, giving us another way to increase awareness. So if you have a facebook account you can now invite all of your friends on facebook to become a fan of Transplant Cafe, even if they don't qualify for TC membership..

Everyone can become a fan on facebook giving them insight and participation into what we do here at TC and our mission to offer support to the Txp community and grow awareness. At the same time the page will give you another resource and platform to continue increasing awareness. The page is a work in progress and you can expect the fan base to grow rapidly as we invest in advertising within facebook to attract new fans!

New Cafe Shops & Clubs
What we've done is searched for and gathered just about all the transplant related DVD's and movies, books, health care products, etc. and created "Transplant Cafe Clubs" using groups for transplant movies, books, health and well being items, health magazines and music, rather than just a page to sell stuff. The idea is that now you can choose to join the different groups like you're joining a club where you can; discuss your favorite movies, books, music, magazines and health products!

So, if you like the movie Seven Pounds, for example, you can discuss it in the group's discussion area and recommend it to others who can click the movie or use the search box inside the group to find and purchase it online. The same applies to all the other clubs in the Transplant Cafe Shop!

Also, any purchases made result in a small commission paid to Transplant Cafe that will help to continue to grow the site and getting the word out to the thousands of members out there who really want and need this type of community and support.
